Product Description
Pentalyn™ 710-M resin is a phenolic modified rosin ester, which offers low viscosity and low solubility in mineral oils. Its properties make it especially recommendable for lithographic inks or offset high brightness inks in quick set systems, or as modifier resin in heat set and flushing.

Compatibility and Solubility
Pentalyn™ 710-M is compatible with vegetable oils, hydrocarbon resins and other gum rosin resins.

Pentalyn™ 710-M resin has partial solubility in mineral oils, soluble in aromatic solvents (toluene, Xylene) and partial solubility in aliphatic solvents (gas naphtha, gas solvent). This resin is insoluble in alcohols.



Packaging
Pentalyn™ 710-M is packaged in 25 kgs polyethylene bags, shipped from Eastman''s facilities in Uruapan Michoacán in Mexico.

Storage
Pentalyn™ 710-M resin is provided in pieces which may fuse, block or lump under any of the following conditions: (1) In hot weather climates (2) if stored near steam pipes or other sources of heat; (3) Upon prolonged storage; 4) Placing in very high piles or the combination o them. Storage at temperature above 30°C should be avoided. Inside storage in a temperature-controlled area is necessary in order to prevent problems.

Resins are prone to gradual oxidation, some more so than others. This could result in darkening and/or it could have an adverse affect on the solubility of the resin in organic solvents or in its compatibility with polymers. Accordingly, it is recommended that strict control of inventory be observed at all times, taking care that the oldest materials is used first.
