Product Description
Eastman Aventa™ FT1200 compostable materials is noted for giving an excellent balance of thermal and mechanical properties coupled with a broad range of certified beginning and end-of-life options. This new biobased material provides the customer experience of traditional plastic, but will ultimately break down into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass, and articles made from Aventa will not remain as microplastics.
Eastman Aventa™ FT1200 compostable materials is available in a food contact grade and balances heat resistance and toughness, making it ideal for injection molding, extruded straws and films/sheet. Straws (8mil thick), films (10mil thick), and foamed sheet (max. 36 mil thick at <0.7 g/cm
3
density, max. 200 mil thick at <0.2 g/cm

density) made from Eastman Aventa™ FT1200 compostable material are BPI certified as industrial compostable* and have received TUV-Austria home certification**.
