Chemical Synonym
Aventa FT2124; FT2124; compostable materials
Applications
Cutlery single use-FC
Single use articles - food contact
Product Description
Eastman Aventa FT2124 compostable material is noted for giving excellent balance of thermal and mechanical properties coupled with a broad range of certified beginning and end of life options. This new engineered compostable and biodegradable material provides the customer with a seamless processing experience and will ultimately break down to water, CO
2
and biomass, and articles made from Aventa will not remain as microplastics.
Eastman Aventa FT2124 compostable material is a food contact grade product formulated for toughness and can be molded at shorter cycle times compared to other compostable and biodegradable materials. This makes Aventa FT2124 a suitable choice to maximize production in injection molding manufacturing setups. Cutlery injection molded at a volume over the surface ratio of 0.064 cm is home* and industrial compostable**.
