Product Description
Eastman Advantis™ 515-2 40X adhesion promoter (40% in solids in Xylene) is a liquid at room temperature. If the solution gels due to storage at low temperatures, it can be re-liquified by warming to 38°C with agitation. Solutions of Advantis 515-2 40X (as supplied) can easily be reduced with xylene, toluene, selected ketones, and ester solvents. It demonstrates good heat resistance and is compatible with a variety of resins. It combines with the resins to give clear solutions and deposit clear films. Advantis 515-2 40X also has excellent adhesion to polypropylene and good-to-excellent adhesion to many other substrates. Advantis 515-2 40X not only adheres to a variety of substrates, but when added to coatings and inks it improves their adhesion to these substrates.
