Product Description
Eastman Cadence™ GS3 is a clear copolyester resin specifically for calendered film applications including decorative laminates, general purpose packaging, transaction and identification cards, and protective films. It has enhanced processing ease and higher melt strength compared to Cadence™ GS2.
Film producers looking to replace PVC and other materials of concern choose Cadence™ for its ease of processing, low-temperature toughness, and the ability to be downgauged – all of which help reduce cost. It has a wide calendering and thermoforming window, which enables Cadence™ to be used on most existing calendering lines and thermoforming equipment with little or no modification. Eastman Cadence™ resins require no pre-drying or additional stabilizers.
Brand owners prefer Cadence™ for its premium appearance, excellent toughness, and environmentally responsible track record. It is crystal clear, has excellent resistance to common household cleaners, and resists curling, delaminating, and yellowing when exposed to heat.
Eastman Cadence™ GS3 may be used in various food contact applications under the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
