Product Description
Eastman Solus™ 5400 performance additive is designed to provide high-performance for wood coatings. This cellulose ester can be crosslinked with urea formaldehydes, melamines, and polyisocyanates thanks to its strong reactivity, and is well adapted to wood coatings formulations and reactive cure systems. This product can be selected to improve pigment dispersion and adhesion, while delivering good UV stability to maintain film color over long periods of time. Solus™ 5400 is soluble in low molecular weight alcohols, such as methanol, ethanol, isopropanol and n-propanol, as well as other common organic solvents. When dissolved in appropriate solvents, a clear colorless solution is produced. Solus™ 5400 is supplied as a dry, free-flowing powder, offering formulation convenience, ease of handling and maximum formulating flexibility.
Eastman Solus™ 5400 is based on cellulose, one of the most abundant natural renewable resources.
