Product Description
Eastman™ DE HG Solvent is a blend of diethylene glycol monoethyl ether and ethylene glycol (70/30 wt. %) that is characterized by good solvent activity, chemical stability, complete miscibility with water, and high flash point. It is used as a coalescent in latex paints and in floor polishes. This product has very low odor, improves wet edge control and provides good freeze-thaw stability. In emulsion systems, it improves surface gloss, aids recoatability, and gives good coalescing of emulsion polymers. In wax strippers and cleaners, it aids in the removal of wax films and water insoluble soil particles. Eastman DE HG solvent also acts as a compatibilizing agent between water, surfactants, oils, and other components in stripper formulations.
