Eastman Cellulose Acetate CA-398-30 is a high-viscosity, high molecular weight cellulose acetate supplied as fine, dry, free-flowing powder. The powder is free from coarse particles and excessive fines. Its relatively uniform particle size permits good plasticizer distribution during blending. When dissolved in appropriate solvents selected for CA-398-30, a clear, colorless solution is produced. Cellulose acetate CA-398-30 offers good physical properties for molded and extruded articles. It may be compounded into plastic using extrusion equipment or heated rolls.

Viscosity determined by ASTM Method D 1343. Results converted to poises (ASTM Method D 1343) using the solution density for Formula A as stated in ASTM Method D 817 (20% Cellulose ester, 72% acetone, 8% ethyl alcohol).
