Product Description
Pentalyn™ 601-M resin is a fumaric adduct of rosin, partially esterized to obtain hardness and moderate acidity, which makes it dispersible in ammonia or amine water. The resin is also soluble in alcohol. This resin is primarily used in waterbased flexographic inks.

Compatibility and Solubility
Pentalyn™ 601-M resin is compatible with acrylic resins and SS nitrocellulose. It is incompatible with polyamides. This resin is completely dispersible in ammonia water and partially soluble in diethylene glycol, fully soluble in alcohols and insoluble in aliphatic and aromatic solvents.

Storage
The large contact surface the pieces of resin present make them susceptible to gradual oxidation, which can be more advanced in some batches than others. This can cause darkening and/or affect the resin’s solubility in organic solvents. Therefore, we strongly recommend keeping strict control of inventories at all times, and taking special care to ensure that the oldest material is used first. We suggest a shelf life of 1 year for this product.
