Product Description
Pamolyn™ 100 FGK Kosher Oleic Acid is an exceptionally high purity, water white, non-animal, tall oil fatty acid derived oleic acid that is kosher approved. It also complies with regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in food for human consumption as specified under various sections of the Code of Federal Regulations. (See FDA status). Pamolyn™ 100 FGK Kosher Oleic Acid meets specifications in the Food Chemicals Codex for oleic acid, including those amended and incorporated by reference from U.S. FDA Regulation 21 CFR 172.862 - Oleic acid derived from tall oil fatty acids.

Storage
Do not store in carbon steel containers since fatty acids will react and discolor. Inside storage and "first in first out" inventory control is recommended. Storage at temperatures above 30°C should be avoided. Fatty acids are susceptible to gradual oxidation, some more so than others. This could result in darkening and/or it could have an adverse effect on the solubility of the product in organic solvents or on its compatibility with polymers. Accordingly, it is recommended that strict control of inventory be observed at all times, taking care that the oldest material is used first. Material will remain within product specification limits for a period of at least eighteen months after shipment from Eastman''s production facilities, provided recommended storage conditions are observed. However, as neither the processing conditions for the product, nor the end use applications for which it is used can be anticipated and extreme conditions can affect the product quality, it is recommended that the material be tested upon receipt.
