Product Description
Eastman Tritan™ DX4000 an amorphous copolyester with excellent appearance and clarity. Eastman Tritan DX4000 contains a mold release derived from vegetable-based sources. Its most outstanding features are excellent heat and chemical resistance, toughness, and hydrolytic stability. The chemical resistance of Eastman Tritan DX4000 make it an ideal polymer solution for beverageware and small appliance applications where sunscreen/essential oil, citrus, and alcohol resistance are needed in order to maintain clarity and appearance. In addition, the outstanding chemical resistance and hydrolytic stability of Eastman Tritan DX4000 copolyester delivers enhanced durability in the heat, humidity and aggressive chemical environment in both residential and commercial dishwashers.

aUnless noted otherwise, all tests are run at 23°C (73°F) and 50% relative humidity.
bUnless noted otherwise, the test method is ASTM.
cUnits are in SI or US customary units.
dBased on a 35 kg (78 lb) hopper desiccant dryer. Larger hoppers may require lower temperatures to avoid sticking
eBased on an 87°C drying temperature and starting moisture level of 5400 ppm or 0.54% with average ambient conditions of 8.3C (47F) and 60% RH. Higher starting moisture levels, lower drying temperatures, and/or higher humidity and higher temperature ambient conditions will require longer drying times to reach moisture levels below 300 ppm or 0.03% as recommended
